two were already rolling on the floor
looks pass between the five
all of them trying hard to withhold tears.
They sang their hearts out.
That performance went beyond pleasing the judges,
went beyond pleasing the audience.
That?
That was for themselves.
And I am tearing up
because I know what it feels like.
Whatever that's causing them to roll on the floor
unable to control the tears flowing down their flushed cheeks.
When it comes from the heart,
when there is nothing but what the heart has to say,
everyone, no matter who, feels it.
