when Hope came in a different envelope

his hands
(all wrinkly with veins)
reached out for hers
(all wrinkly with veins)

and his voice
(all low and sweet)
whispered softly in her ear
(until she started to breathe calmly)

and they kept holding hands,
until i had to break them apart,
because my bladder can only hold so much for so long,
and the cold plus the bumpy ride did not help.

they spoke French.
old sweet couple, them.
and so very much in love.
with hair as white as snow,
and so very much in love.

three hours.
of strangers, but not so.
and i learnt,
that a simple gesture could bring great effects.

and that there is one universal language
spoken without words and
through the heart;

nevermind the spoken language,
if it is there,
it would be felt,
thus understood.

i wish them (and all like them), well =)

We make too much noise when we talk. If only we would listen;

the unspoken language is voiced all the time , and shall ever be understood.

And I wish you well :)
