She was quick to scoff (in a form of a laugh, sclaugh?) at his defense.
Which fueled him even more, and not in a good way.
Both, caught in some self-ignited fire, ignored the presence of the interviewer,
and the fact that they've gone waaay of topic.
And on air, at that!
